Just for clarification...
- Supported: "built-in" bookmarks added by the author of the document
- Not supported yet: "user-added" (custom) bookmarks added by you (as a reader of a PDF document)
If a PDF document originally contains bookmarks, Adobe Reader for iOS shows the bookmark icon in the bottom toolbar. You can tap the icon to open the Bookmarks UI.

If you do not see the bookmark icon in the bottom toolbar, it means that the PDF document does not contain built-in bookmarks (because the author did not add them when he/she had created the document). Most PDF books or manuals contain this type of bookmarks
In Adobe Reader for iOS,
- You can view the existing "built-in" bookmarks in the Bookmarks UI.
- You can navigate to a chapter/section/page by tapping an individual bookmark.
- You cannot add your own custom bookmarks ("user-added" bookmarks) yet. This feature is on our TODO list for a future release.
On the other hand, Adobe Reader for Android already supports"user-added" bookmarks.
