Audition doesn't have any built in MIDI capabilities at all--it majors on being an audio editor.
(An earlier version of Audition...AA3...had a very simple MIDI implementation but this was dropped from future versions since the development time needed to turn it into a full-featured MIDI sequencer would have taken away from things deemed more important.)
