how to read sticky note comments

Hi everyone,

I've recently had a teacher provide comments on a PDF file and email it back to me, but for some reason I can't read the comments. I can see the comment icons and the text is highlighted but I can't read them, I've tired hovering over them, clicking on them, does anyone know how I can read the comments?
